Electrical Field Technician – Entry Level

Electrical Field Technician – Entry Level – Hempstead, NY

  • Conduct short circuit studies.
  • Assist with Electrical design as needed.
  • Assist Commissioning teams when onsite at Customer locations to run tests of critical facility operations.
  • Assist with Creating designs and plans, provided and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role for small to medium sized data center facility design projects.
  • Follow SOPs and MOPs when testing at critical facility sites.
  • Assist with Arc Flash Studies as needed
  • 1-2 years experience (co-op, internship, or Navy experience)
  • Taking classes to attain an EE, Electrical training a must, Higher Education Courses in EE a huge plus
  • Navy Nuke electrician training a HUGE PLUS.
  • SUNY Maritime Grads a plus.
  • Electrical switchgear / electrical relay training a plus or other Electrical OEM Training a plus.
  • Data Center / Mission Critical Facilities Infrastructure experience a plus.
  • Experience with Electrical Systems such as power systems design, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), Generators, Relays, Switchgears, and Batteries a plus.
  • Experience working on complex facilities design, critical infrastructure or for Data Centers Mission Critical projects a plus.
  • Ability to successfully work independently or on a team.
  • Self Starter, self motivated, and should prioritize well.
