UPS Sales and Support Engineer - Phoenix, AZ
This role involves pre-sales and post sales support.

Our client is looking for a Field Application Engineer to join their team. They will provide pre and post sales technical support in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams and the companies channel partners. They will gather technical and commercial requirements via consultation with customers, communicate the best technical proposals and provide post-sales testing, installation and technical support to customers. They are an expert resource for the company’s products and solutions as well as the application environment in the market.

  • Provide technical guidance, respond to and manage customer expectations throughout the sales cycle
  • Consult with customers on application requirements and respond to those requirements with technical recommendations as well as formal proposals
  • Develop technical content for product presentations and sales collateral and customer training materials
  • Conduct demonstrations and training sessions for new products and services in collaboration with the sales team and channel partners
  • Offer long term on-going post-sales support to existing customers to maintain the company’s brand and reputation in the market
  • Communicate directly with sales and product management personnel throughout the sales process on customer status
  • Develop and maintain application notes and provide updates required for manuals and other product documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience or a certified electrician
  • Requires electrical, electronic and energy storage knowledge and technical aptitude
  • Experience with UPS and energy storage systems preferre
  • Experience working with small cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, software engineers and product management, strong technical documentation skills
  • Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to problem solve via the phone, email, and in person
  • Ability to handle stress in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite, Visio, SAP or other ERP program experience
  • Requires travel both domestic and international
